On January 12, 2010, a magnitude 7 earthquake hit the island of Haiti, almost directly beneath the capital of Port-au-Prince. The city has been devastated, whole neighborhoods flattened as ancient buildings, most not built to withstand earthquakes, disintegrated in rubble. Early estimates are that more than 100,000 people may be dead and millions displaced.
I've created this feed to pull together syndication and twitter resources on the site. Having been in a couple of earthquakes, I feel strongly in trying to help in any way possible the people that are now recovering from this tragedy.
